Conversations in Cancer Survivorship
Hosted on 27 May 2025, this webinar is for nursing, medical and allied health professionals delved into the practical communication strategies, tips and resources aimed at supporting cancer survivors. COSA was pleased to partner with Cancer Nurses Society of Australia, the Australian Cancer Survivorship Centre and Cancer Council Australia for another webinar in our collaborative series.
Learning objectives:

- Define cancer survivor, survivorship and life after treatment, including related terms, and discuss them confidently
-
- Learn practical techniques to introduce survivorship concepts and resources to patients, including responding to emotional cues and de-escalating strong reactions
-
- Recognise the importance of screening for common survivorship concerns such as fear of cancer recurrence, emotional distress, and ongoing treatment effects

- Empower cancer survivors to manage their health, make informed decisions and advocate for their care
