Research: New cancer therapy bid

07 Apr 2021 - Research

New therapeutic approaches to fighting liver cancer should be explored, new research suggests. Researchers from the Centenary Institute in Sydney have discovered that the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 gene family is “strongly implicated” in the development of human hepatocellular carcinoma, the most common type of liver cancer. The research says the four enzymes need to be further studied, after it was revealed elevated levels of the enzymes were associated with poor survival rates in HCC patients.
