Support: Apartment tower to include men’s shed

04 Feb 2021 - Support

A two-story warehouse will be transformed into a 12- storey residential tower with a ground floor “men’s shed’’ for the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. The City of Melbourne has approved a $26m plan to demolish the warehouse at 69-75 Racecourse Road, North Melbourne, and build the 96-apartment building in its place. The men’s shed space will be given to the cancer centre for woodwork, support groups, allied health services and social activities for male patients and carers during their time at Peter Mac.
