Scientists have revealed that working outside can cut the risk of women developing breast cancer. The key is the body’s increased production of vitamin D when in sunlight. Danish Cancer Society research, published in the journal Occupational & Environmental Medicine, found women who work outdoors for at least 20 years were 17 per cent less likely to develop breast cancer after the age of 50.
