20 Jan 2020 - Medical and Scientific

Survivors of childhood cancer are five times more likely to develop a “second primary cancer” than members of the general population, according to new research published today. While survivors are most at risk of relapsing during the five years after diagnosis, researchers said the risk was “still significant” at up to 33 years. The research has been published in the Medical Journal of Australia.
