Applications for 2020 COSA Trainee Travel Grants are now OPEN.

COSA calls for applications from medical, surgical or radiation oncology trainees to attend one (or both) of the following COSA events each year:


  • the COSA Trainees Weekend 

Trainees may apply for up to $1,000 for expenses incurred in attending the event/s. 

Please note: In an effort to fund as many applications as possible in previous years, complimentary registration was offered in lieu of cash reimbursement due to the overwhelming number of applications received.

COSA will reimburse grant holders after the event.


To be considered for a COSA Trainee Travel Grant you must:

  • be a medical graduate enrolled in a medical, surgical or radiation oncology training program (other postgrad students may also inquire as to their eligibility) in an Australian institution
  • have an abstract submitted through the ASM website ( This can be a recent abstract submitted but not yet presented at an international multidisciplinary meeting
  • attend either the COSA ASM or the COSA Trainees Weekend
