Radiation Oncology

The Radiation Oncology Group represents the interests of all members within COSA with an interest in the practice of radiation oncology. This includes radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, physicists, nurses and allied health workers involved in the care of radiotherapy patients. The majority of radiation oncologists within COSA belong to this site-specific group.

The focus of the group is to ensure that the views and needs of radiation oncology are adequately expressed at the COSA Council through the Chair. The membership of the Radiation Oncology Group is complementary to membership of other site-specific groups. COSA, being multidisciplinary, helps foster exchange between the various craft groups towards multidisciplinary care of cancer patients.

The group’s activities include COSA’s Annual Scientific Meeting and representation at the Council to highlight radiotherapy matters.

Chair: A/Prof Sandro Porceddu
