Information and support for patients

Cancer Council Helpline: 13 11 20 – provides information about cancer types and issues and details of support groups and service. 

Cancer Connections – an online community (established by Cancer Council) that enables people with cancer, their carers and families to link through discussion forums and blogs.

CanTeen – provides peer and other support services to young people aged 12 to 24 with cancer (as well as young people who have a sibling or parent with cancer or whose sibling or parent has died from cancer).

Now What – a new online service developed by CanTeen, which provides information for young people with cancer and enables them to connect with others in similar situations.

Warwick Foundation – provides support to young adults (18–40 years) on their cancer journey.

RedKite – provides specialised cancer counselling and support (including financial and educational assistance) to children and young people with cancer and their families and to bereaved families.
