The Gastrointestinal Group is open to gastroenterologists, surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, other medical specialists, nurses, researchers and other health care professionals with an interest in the management of gastrointestinal malignancies.
The aim of the group is to promote education of health care professionals and the public on this area of oncology. We also aim to provide a role in public health advocacy and best practice guideline development.
The Group has close links with the Australasian Gastrointestinal Trials Group (AGITG) that is predominantly involved in the conduct, organisation and development of multi-centre gastrointestinal oncology clinical trails.
