Haematology and Oncology Targeted Therapies Allied Health (HOTTAH) Grant
As part of its ongoing support of the haematology and oncology community in Australia, Roche Products and COSA are delighted to announce that the HOTTAH grant of $25,000AUD will be available in the first quarter of 2010.

The HOTTAH grant is a joint initiative of Roche and COSA and is open to Nurses and Allied Health Professionals.  The grant is intended to assist in the conduct of research or project initiatives that will be of benefit to the clinical oncology or haematology community within Australia. 

In addition to the $25,000 grant, support in-kind may also be available from Roche as required and agreed.

Eligibility

  • The award is open to Nurses and Allied Health Professionals who are members of COSA.
  • The awards will be offered to fund projects to be undertaken over a one-year period. Research or project outcomes should be available at the end of this one-year period.
  • The research topic may be in any aspect of medical oncology or malignant haematology.  Non-research projects must be of wide ranging benefit to the oncology or haematology community of Australia.
  • Applicants must be Australian permanent residents.
  • The research or projects must be conducted within Australia.

Applications

  • The closing date for applications: Applications Closed Friday 22 May 2010
  • All applicants must submit 
    • theHOTTAH Grant application form (153kb), along with the requested attachments specified on the form. 
    • a copy of the applicant’s CV, up to 6 pages in length.
    • a letter of support from the applicant’s Department Head or Institutional Head, specifying the mentoring, support and facilities that will be available from the Institution.
  • All applications will be assessed by a panel of experts including representatives of COSA and Roche.
  • The successful candidates will be notified within six weeks of the closing date.
